A flood watch is in effect until Thursday afternoon in Boone, Kenton and Campbell counties, according to the National Weather Service.
“Showers and some thunderstorms will move across the region through Thursday morning,” according to a hazard warning from the Weather Service. “Rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected, with local amounts up to 3 inches possible… Soils [may] remain moist and excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.”
Renewed flooding concerns arrive this evening/ overnight as more showers and thunderstorms move through.
