Authorities arrested a man while executing a search warrant in Union Tuesday, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
The search warrant was part of an investigation into drug and firearms trafficking, and after the man’s arrest, the sheriff’s office and SWAT team stayed on scene for several hours searching for more evidence.
“Deputies made contact with the primary suspect at the residence, who was taken into custody without incident,” said a press release from the sheriff’s office.
Police went to the residence on Station Lane, which is off Frogtown Road, around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday to execute the warrant.
Parts of Station Lane were temporarily closed off during the arrest and subsequent search in the residence, which took several hours, according to police. No injuries were reported, and the sheriff has not released the suspect’s identity as the investigation is ongoing.
