Gold Star will offer a free meal to all veterans and active-duty military members on Veterans Day at its more than 55 locations across Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.
The offer, valued up to $12, is available to anyone who shows proof of military service on Nov. 11. Acceptable proof includes a U.S. Uniformed Services ID card or retired ID card, a veterans’ organization membership card, a military commendation or earnings statement, a photograph in uniform or arriving in uniform.
“The individuals that make up our Armed Forces are dedicated, brave people who have made incredible sacrifices to protect our freedoms,” Gold Star President and CEO Roger David said in a news release. “Offering our veterans a free meal is our way of saying ‘thank you’ for all that they do and to reinforce that they always have a seat at our table.”
