The Fort Wright Police Department will host a free internet scam awareness training at the Fort Wright City Building Tuesday night.
The training will focus on common scams that employ the internet, email, text messages and phone calls to swindle people out of their money and information.
“Officers will walk you through real-life examples and teach you how to detect, prevent and report suspicious activity,” according to a city press release.
The event will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 2, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Fort Wright City Building on Kyles Lane.
