Ludlow Police released a statement Sunday confirming they had identified a body found along the creek near the city boundaries of Ludlow and Bromley on July 18 as Anthony Warren, a 31-year-old man declared missing early in July.

“Our deepest condolences go out to Mr. Warren’s family in their time of grief,” the statement concludes.

Warren went missing on July 1, according to the statement. His family filed a missing person’s report with the department the following day.

His body was located around 5:30 p.m. on Friday after a fisherman contacted 911 to report what at the time he believed was a dead body. Ludlow Detective Justin Edwards and the Kenton County Coroner responded. The police do not currently suspect foul play, and there is no danger to the community, they said.

“Det. Edwards followed up on multiple leads,” reads the statement, “working closely with the family in an attempt to locate him. Florence, Ludlow and Cincinnati PD were actively searching for Warren.”
