Local fire departments under the Northern Kentucky Technical Response Team were deployed to aid in relief and rescue efforts in the wake of the storms and tornadoes that swept through Laurel and Pulaski counties over the weekend.
“We just want to help, we just want to do what we can. Every little bit helps in this situation,” Jeff Brinkman, an engineer, EMT and driver for the Covington Fire Department and the president of the Local 38 union told LINK nky’s media partner WCPO.
A 22-person team from several local departments, including Covington FD, Campbell Fire/Rescue, Fort Mitchell Fire Department and Hebron Fire Protection District, was deployed. While there, they surveyed and documented the damage.
