George Bizet’s classic opera “Carmen” is coming to NKU’s campus at the end of the month, courtesy of the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra and NKU’s School of the Arts.

The performance will commemorate the opera’s 150th anniversary and feature work and performances from NKU students as well as Ignite.

The leads will be played by Kristin Chávez, who plays the title character Carmen, native Northern Kentuckian Matthew Pearce, who plays Don Jose, and Morgan Smith, who plays Escamillo.

There will be two performances, one at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 28 and another at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 30. Both performances will take place at Greaves Concert Hall on NKU’s campus.
