The likelihood of hazardous winter weather for Boone, Kenton and Campbell counties is low, according to the National Weather Service, even though counties immediately to the south – Carroll, Gallatin, Owen, Grant, Pendleton and Bracken counties – are under a winter weather advisory until noon tomorrow.
If snow does occur, it’s forecast to begin Wednesday morning between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. Accumulations tonight, Wednesday and Wednesday evening are not expected to exceed half of an inch.
Flood warnings remain in effect for areas along the Ohio River until at least Friday. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is warning travelers that select roads along the river may flood. KYTC urges drives to check GoKY for traffic conditions before traveling and to never drive through a flooded roadway. There have been several reports of motorists driving past barricades/barrels on to flooded roadways.
