The Covington Police Department is asking for help in collecting evidence on a shooting that occurred at the Latonia Terrace apartment complex early Friday morning.
Police got a call reporting a shooting around 5:04 a.m., according to a police press release.
Upon arriving at the 100 block of Ashland Avenue, the police found a man who’d been shot. The man was transported to UC Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. 27-year-old Raven Sims was arrested in connection with the shooting and charged with assault in the 2nd degree, usually leveled at domestic violence suspects, and wanton endangerment for discharging a firearm. She is currently being held at the Kenton County Detention Center.
The police do not believe there is additional threat to the public, and the investigation is ongoing.
