Join The Emergency Shelter of Northern Kentucky guests, staff and volunteers as they party in the parking lot and get ready for winter shelter.
On Thursday, Oct. 24, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., visitors can drive through with their donations, and emergency shelter guests will unload their vehicles. Daily-use items that guests need include coffee, sugar, creamer, cereal, adult-size winter clothes, soap, shampoo, toilet paper, twin-size sheets and towels.
During their stop, visitors are invited to enjoy freshly-popped popcorn and music to welcome in winter. They’re also welcome to take a tour and learn more about the programs and services offered at the emergency shelter.
Families, companies, schools and churches interested in holding their own donation drive are asked to email volunteer coordinator Maya Mintu at Maya.Mintu@esnky.net.
The Emergency Shelter of Northern Kentucky is located at 436 W. 13th St. in Covington.
