Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear officially endorsed Democrat Matt Lehman’s campaign for House District 67, according to a press release from the Kentucky Democrats.
Lehman is running against Republican Terry Hatton. District 67 is comprised of Newport, Bellevue, Dayton, Highland Heights and other portions of unincorporated Campbell County.
“This fall, Campbell County has an opportunity to elect a champion for Kentucky families,” Beshear said in the release. “Matt will work hard to ensure that all Kentuckians can access opportunities right here in our Commonwealth.”
Currently, the seat is occupied by Rep. Rachel Roberts, who opted not to run for reelection.
Lehman previously challenged incumbent Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY4) in the 2022 General Election, where he was defeated 167,541 to 79,977 votes.
