The Campbell County Board of Education accepted the appointment of Tyler Owen for division 2.
The appointment comes after Joshua Perkins resigned from his position in division 2, creating a vacancy. Owen applied to fill that vacancy and was the only applicant. The board approved the appointment at its meeting on Sept. 16.
Owen has also filed to run unopposed in the November election.
