Sixty-eight firearms were stolen from Range USA, a gun store in Florence, after a smash-and-grab on the night of Aug. 18.

According to a Florence Police Department incident report obtained by LINK nky, unknown suspects drove a white Hyundai Elantra through the front wall of Range USA at 7551 Mall Road. The suspects then stole 68 firearms, ammunition and firearm accessories before fleeing the scene. The incident report valued the amount of firearms stolen at $50,000.

The report lists the offenses of burglary in the first degree and criminal mischief in the first degree. An active law enforcement investigation is ongoing.

The smash-and-grab follows a similar incident that took place at Triggers, another gun store in Florence. FOX19 reported that a car smashed through the front of the window early in the morning on Friday, Aug. 16. Six men with face coverings hopped out of the vehicle, subsequently stealing merchandise.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspects.
