The Fort Thomas Farmers Market will host its kid’s market on Wednesday, July 31, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Fort Thomas Mess Hall.
The kid’s market will feature 25 kid entrepreneurs who will sell what they have made or grown. Products from the kid’s market range from plants to jewelry and even slime. This is in addition to the 30-plus normal farmers and makers that the market boasts each week during the season.
“The kid’s market is our most popular event of the season,” said Fort Thomas Farmers Market Manager Tiffany Tomeo. “Over 20 young entrepreneurs will set up at the market to sell their wares, which range from jewelry to terrariums to custom slime blends. The kid’s market was begun as a way to give them an opportunity to experience the business side of selling their goods to the general public. We want to encourage them to continue in their creative endeavors.”
Kids’ activities will take place from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., with the young entrepreneurs selling from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. A birthday party for Harry Potter (the fictional character’s birthday is July 31) will follow the kids’ market starting at 7 p.m. There will be activities, Harry Potter trivia, food trucks and a showing of “The Sorcerer’s Stone” at dusk.
The Fort Thomas Farmers Market takes place each Wednesday from April through December at the Fort Thomas Mess Hall at 801 Cochran Avenue in Fort Thomas.
