Tony Fields has been named as the varsity coach of the Villa Madonna Academy girls basketball team. Fields formerly served as the varsity assistant coach for the boys basketball team and has served as the varsity softball coach the past two seasons, a role he will continue to occupy.
“Fields is a native of Northern Kentucky, graduating from Lloyd High School and Northern Kentucky University,” said an announcement from the school. “He has coached for more than 35 years in middle and high school sports in the area. Fields is a member of the Northern Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame, inducted in 2009.”
Fields is entrenched in the Northern Kentucky high school sports scene, helping run the NKY High School accounts on Facebook for their respective sports.
