On this week’s episode of the Inside LINK podcast, we’re learning about how Campbell County reporter Haley Parnell covered the years-long dispute between River Metals Recycling and the people of Newport.

At its essence, the dispute is centered around sporadic explosions that happen at the metal recycling plant, usually because people have incorrectly disposed of items like propane tanks. Listen in the player below or wherever you get your podcasts to learn more about how the relationships Haley established with the community not only led to a great story, but possible change at the legislative level.
