Covington City Hall on Pike Street will play host to a mailbox, called the North Pole Mail Box service, where local kids can drop their letters to Santa from now through Dec. 15. The Parks and Recreation Department will then send them to Santa, who will respond to every letter, provided senders include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
The city will also host a free, family-friendly holiday party, called the Happy Cov Holidays party, on Friday, Dec. 17, in the commission chambers, beginning at 5 p.m.
“We are more than excited to bring back ‘Happy Cov Holiday!’ ” said Ben Oldiges, the city’s parks and recreation manager, in a recent city announcement. “Last year’s event was such a success, and we loved being able to celebrate the holidays with our community members. This program served as a great enrichment for the holidays and serves as a great way to kick off the Christmas break. We hope to see everyone come down to City Hall and celebrate with us again!”
Guests should register in advance here.
