Four Northern Kentucky residents are part of the Leadership Kentucky class of 2023.

Julie Kirkpatrick of meetNKY, Lee Crume of BE NKY and Robert Simmons of EGC Construction and Chris Frances of KY/WV Alliance of YMCAs are all part of the class of 2023. In total, the class includes 52 participants.

Leadership Kentucky is a nonprofit which aims to prepare community leaders for upcoming challenges facing the state.

Leadership Kentucky’s flagship program consists of seven three-day sessions where participants meet with each other to discuss and explore the state’s problems, opportunities and resources.

The sessions cover topics ranging from business and economic development, arts and tourism, natural resources and the environment, education, healthcare, diversity and social issues, agriculture, and government.

The June through December program will bring the class to these areas across the state:

  • June: Berea
  • July: Louisville
  • August: Paducah/Eddyville
  • September: Somerset
  • October: Bowling Green
  • November: Northern Kentucky
  • December: Central KY/Frankfort
