American Airlines announced a new nonstop route from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport to Cancun International Airport in Mexico. Tickets go on sale starting June 18.
The flight is the airline’s first international destination out of CVG. It will operate weekly beginning Dec. 9 and run through March 30, 2024. Direct service to Cancun is American’s 13th destination coming out of CVG.
“Cancun is a strong addition to American’s growing network at CVG, serving leisure travelers,” CVG CEO Candance McGraw said. “We are excited for another option for local travelers to get to sunny Cancun and pleased to see the continued expansion of the Oneworld Alliance with additional international service from CVG.”
