A new mural, created in a collaboration between Dixie Heights high school students and local artist Brent Billingsley, will be dedicated and unveiled this Friday, May 5 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The dedication will overlap with a school pep rally, which begins at 12:45 p.m.

The artwork is one of several pieces associated with the Cincinnati Reds and PNC Bank’s “Murals with a Mission” campaign, which aims “to create murals at Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky high schools designed to elevate positive social messages for the student community,” according to a press release from the campaign.

Schools at the Princeton, Mason and Loveland school districts have also participated in the program.
