As the holiday season draws closer, the Newport Aquarium is inviting the Northern Kentucky community to join them for the 20th anniversary of Scuba Santa from Nov. 25 through Dec. 24.
Scuba Santa will be joined by his elves and three new tiger sharks. In fact, visitors will have the chance to submit their ideas to name the new sharks. Bubbles and festive music will garnish the rest of Scuba Santa’s display.
The Newport Aquarium said the tradition started 20 years ago when Santa’s reindeer ran away, so he made a stop at the aquarium to search for them.
A visit with Scuba Santa is free with general admission or a general pass. The aquarium is offering two extra months free with the purchase of annual passes.
The Newport Aquarium is located at 1 Levee Way, Newport. For more information, interested parties can visit newportaquarium.com.
