Here are government meetings planned in Boone County that the public may attend. Elected bodies of government offer a period of public comment during open meetings.
Those wishing to address those boards can do so at the following meetings this week:
Monday, July 18
The city of Union will hold a caucus meeting starting at 6:30 p.m. at 1843 Bristow Drive. Different from business meetings, caucus meetings are generally non-voting sessions where the board will discuss matters in a more open forum. Items discussed in a caucus may go to a vote in a future business meeting.
On the agenda for Union’s commission meeting is a proposal from MKSK Studios, which is designing the Union Town Center development that will feature a new city building, community center, park and mixed-use properties for retail and residential space.
Tuesday, July 19
Florence City Council will hold a caucus meeting starting at 6 p.m. at 8100 Ewing Boulevard in Florence. View the agenda, and minutes from previous meetings, at florence-ky.gov.
Wednesday, July 20
The Boone County Planning Commission will hold a business meeting at 7 p.m. in the Boone County Fiscal Courtroom, located at 2950 Washington St. in downtown Burlington. The meeting will not be livestreamed. Previous meetings can be viewed online at boonecountyky.org.
