Northern Kentucky University will host the 2024 National Civics Bee this Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in NKU’s University Center Ballroom.

The annual quiz event, put on by The Civic Trust of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation and hosted by event sponsor Scripps Howard Center for Civic Engagement, aims to encourage civic engagement among young people.

The event will see 20 middle-school students from the Northern and Central Kentucky regions compete in a quiz-style competition on the subjects of American history and government.

The event is free and open to the community. Winners will travel to Washington D.C. in the fall to compete in a national competition.
