Students in Northern Kentucky are invited to apply to the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Regional Youth Leadership Class of 2024.
Students that will be juniors during the 2023-2024 high school year are eligible to apply to the seven-month leadership program offered by the Chamber.
Sessions take place monthly during the school day where students are introduced to different career opportunities, organizations, and industries in the Northern Kentucky region. Participants are exposed to a variety of topics that hope to cultivate a commitment to future roles and responsibilities as young leaders of our area, as well as retain the talent our region fosters through these initiatives.
Students are required to carry a minimum GPA of 3.0, actively demonstrate leadership potential in their classes and community, receive approval from their high school principal or guidance counselor, and reside in Greater Cincinnati or Northern Kentucky. Applications are accepted from students enrolled in private, public, or home schools. 40-45 students will be selected to participate during their junior year after applying during their sophomore year.
Tuition for RYL is $250 per student and includes all expenses for the retreat, materials, and refreshments for classes and graduation. A limited number of scholarships are available.
More information and applications for the RYL program are available online at nkychamber.com/ryl. Applications are due Feb. 1 and selected students will be notified of their approval in May.
